Hybrid demon Lucien never really had much to live for. Since birth, Lucien had been trained to believe that he was only good for one thing.
Killing.
That was, until he gave it up.
Being born and bred in Hell, he had nothing to look forward to but his dreams. There lied his ideal violet eyed woman, who performed anything his erotic mind could come up with. That was until his boss demands he goes to Earth to bring back a ruthless demon hell bent on destroying the world. Given only three days to complete the task, Lucien is sent back to Earth only to land smack dab in the middle of a battle between the very demon he is sent to drag back to Hell, and the woman he only thought existed in his dreams.
Athena, a Guardian Angel trained to be a Demon Assassin, wanted to kill Lucien the moment he ruined her shot at killing the ruthless demon she’d been tracking since the moment she’d been sent to Earth. The only thing that stopped her was the fact that Lucien had thrown himself in the way, taking a bullet that was meant for her. Not only saving her life, but leaving her totally and utterly confused.
As battle lines get drawn between Heaven and Hell, and passions run high between Lucien and Athena, will they find means to complete each task while fighting their undeniable lust for each other? Or will being together and losing everything mean more than anything else?
A mother of two and author of too many haha. I love reading and writing Paranormal Romance. When I pick up a book that's published and see an idea I have started working on I smile because I know I'm in the right line of business. My goal is to tickle the fancy of all those who love to read, but most of all it's for me. I can't put a pen or laptop down because my brain is always brewing up a new character or scenario. So if you're like me and love to read and even write indulge into my world.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. From the first page, Ms. Harris captured my attention with this well-written book. Her characters were believable and very real (in a paranormal context). Whether they were on the side of good or evil, my feelings for them were very real. Several times I came close to throwing my e-reader across the room, but I kept turning the page, getting deeper into the story as I read.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about characters who believe in what their fighting for, who love stories with action and passion combined in a way that will keep them reading.
I received this book free from the aloe in exchange for an honest review. For me, Lucien's Hell Bound Angel was stepping out of my comfort zone a little bit because it was an adult novel instead of my usual YA. But regardless I enjoyed this read. My only issues were that there were quite a few characters who kept popping in and out and I kept forgetting who was who. Also I just found there to be a lot going on and it was kind of confusing at times what was going on. I did really enjoy the storyline even though it contained angels lol. But luckily this story was more about demons then the angels. Like I mentioned before, there were a lot of characters to try and remember, especially when one character was in someone else's body lol. But I did enjoy reading about our two main characters Lucien and Athena. I loved reading about their forbidden romance and how they tried not to love each other but in the end they realized that they were meant for each other. I can't wait to hear more about their relationship. I would also really enjoy learning more about their backgrounds. I want to know who they were before they met each other. I am excited to read book tw to see where Cyndi Harris will take the characters and where she will take the reader. I would recommend this book to paranormal romance lovers.
This was one exciting read. There is just so much going on in this book. I would recommend that everyone try this wonderful book.
Lucien is a Hybrid Demon. He really doesn't know what he really is and has no idea who is parents are. He is charged with bringing his brother back to hell and he doesn't want to do it. He decides to do it because he loves him and can't let the others bring him back.
Athena is a Guradian Angel sent to find her charge and keep her charge safe. She is one woman who will do whatever she has to do to keep them safe. When these two meet fighting demons everything explodes.
To say this book is full of action is not doing it justice. There are so many secrets and mysteries in this book. You gain a little knowledge all the way through the book. What you really think will happen doesn't. Even when I reached the end of the book I didn't get all the answers. I am still in shock and coming to terms with everything.
I read this book in one sitting because I couldn't put it down and I can't wait to read the next book. I wonder what other secrets there is to uncover? I love when a man who thinks he is born for destruction tries his best to save the woman he loves even if it means giving his life to save her.
I haven‘t noticed when I got immersed in the story. One moment I was just reading and trying to figure out how do I like it and the next I was eagerly turning pages. There was tension, secrets and complications arising. The bigger picture slowly unfolds with each puzzle piece coming. I loved it. And it even gets better. I was speedily turning pages by the end. When I was finished I couldn‘t believe it was already over. And then idea came to me that maybe this story isn‘t over and there will be a sequel. And yes, this is the first book in the series. Yay! I would love to see how the story goes on.
At the same time I must say I think there was some errors in words (not sure about that because English is a foreign language to me). And sometimes there was a feeling that story was told in a little bit too straightforward way (like who hit who in battle scene in morgue). I felt wishing for a more subtle way. These things were a little bit annoying. Well, maybe it‘s just for me. Anyway, this was an enjoyable and exciting story.
I was given this book in exchange for honest review (Lovers of Paranormal).
I received this book thru the author for an honest review thru the loop program. I loved it from the start it captured me. The characters just grab your heart and make you feel for them. I didn't want to putty it down till I finished but I have kids so that didn't happen sorry it took me so long to review. If you lobe stories when the characters are fighting for what they love this book is for you.. I loved it and can't wait to read move books from Cyndi Harris! Thank You again for letting me read your book. :)
I started reading this book last night and planned to read 50 pages a day until it was finished. I became so wrapped up in the characters of Lucien and Athena that it was well into the night before I finished the whole book. It grabs your attention and your emotions right from the start. Harris can make you feel empathy and sympathy for a demon. It was truly the first time I was tempted to jump to the end of the book just to see if our demon and angel were finally able to be together. Well done.
I received this book for free in exchange for a free review.
Imagine your perfect mate, they accompany you while you dream and help you to escape the hell of your life-literal hell because that's where Lucien resides. Lucien's fantasy woman comes to life and he is overwhelmed by his feelings towards her which are uncommon for a demon/succubus like him. The story was very captivating and yet sizzling just enough to spice up the dull moments. Overall a quick read that is sure to entertain. I would recommend for lazy afternoons that are in need of a pick up.

I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review. There's a demon hunting for another demon - who just happens to be his brother. The first demon pairs up with an angel, and then they find out the demon they're hunting is possessed by an angel. It sounded interesting, it just wasn't. Too confusing, too much switching between character POV's. There were too many errors - wrong wordage, missing words. Yes, I am one of those grammar nazi's. I had to keep going back and re-checking things to make sure I didn't really missunderstand. I appreciate the chance to read it, but it just wasn't for me.
Not going to award stars since I DNF. I barely got through three chapters (11%) the writing was so not my cup of tea. POV seemed to change from one sentence to the next. Three chapters was more then enough to put it on my 'quit-no-way-another-day' shelf.
