The True Life of Jesus of Nazareth

Rate this book
The True Life of Jesus of Nazareth First published in 1899--- His parentage, his youth, his original doctrines and works, his career as a teacher and physician of the people-the nature of the great conspiracy against him-all the incidents of his tragic death are given on Spiritual Authority from spirits who were contemporary mortals with Jesus while on Earth. Slashing through 2,000 years of Christian fanaticism, this book presents the true biography-before and after the crucifixion of Jesus. It exposes, for all time, the great hypocrisy of the Christian religion as the culmination of a villainous plot, contrived by the archvillain, Saul of Tarsus, and his cohort, Judas Iscariot-a plot that changed the world's history for thousands of years! Contained in a long-hidden book, this amazing revelation is delineated by no less than Saul himself. This true-life story of Jesus tells who his mother and father were, of his truly espoused, and of his life teachings! An Eye-Witness Account, taken from the actual parchment, is the true account of the crucifixion and the life of Jesus after this tragic event in Jerusalem, 2000 years ago.

A REPUBLICATION OF A ‘LIFE OF JESUS’ REVEALED BY A MEDIUM

Ruth Norman (the co-founder of the Unarius Fellowship) wrote in the introductory Note to this 1899 book (republished in 1998 by Unarius), “This book you will find to be the capstone in the arch of true understanding; it can well start you upon your personal ‘Second Coming’ or ‘spiritual rebirth’---a more positive, regenerative, progressive, evolution!”

The Preface explains, “It has generally been conceded by all those who have read the New Testament that the life of Jesus was indeed the greatest life ever lived, if this life is to be judged … as it is so depicted in the Testaments. Also so depicted in these Testaments, this life presents the greatest enigma and an overwhelming contradiction, for it is impossible to compromise the concept of a man able to perform instantaneous miracles… and the inevitable result that it would arouse the ire and wrath of the incumbent priesthood… These contradictions and enigmas have the subject of heated debates… for many hundreds of years, and until the present time, there was … no suitable historical recourse which could adequately explain, and truthfully depict, the life of the Nazarene as it was truly lived… These two books can be considered totally accurate. These two books… reinforce and prove the entire Unarian Concept … as it was so started and presented by Jesus.” (Pg. vii-viii)

The Publisher’s Introduction explains, “We take great pleasure in being able to present to the world this unique work, ‘The Occult Life of Jesus of Nazareth,’ by the spirits, Saul and Judas, through the mediumship of Alexander Smyth. We believe it will be instrumental in removing much of the rubbish, superstition, and perplexing problems that have from the start clustered around his eventful life.”

The medium, Alexander Smyth, explains in the Preface, “I feel myself impelled to issue this extraordinary book to the world. It purports to be The True History of Jesus of Nazareth, and is the first and only work in which is portrayed the true character of [Jesus]… In it he is divested of all the mythical and mystical surroundings and fabulous origin. He is presented to the mental view of the present age as a natural man whose traits of character were amiability, justice, truthfulness and benevolence, and who finally became a martyr to his love and good intentions towards mankind.”

In the ‘Confessions’ of Paul, Smyth wrote of asking Paul the Apostle, “‘Why have you selected me to be your medium and agent on earth?’ I inquired of Saul… ‘Could you not find a man more befitting the office than I?’ … ‘It matters not,’ responded Saul, ‘you are the one selected, and you must comply…’” (Pg. 11)

‘Paul’ tells Alexander, “I have given a slight sketch of my evil deeds and misspent life while on earth. That it was one of great folly, error and wickedness, it will be useless to iterate… The results since my death have been ten thousand times more baneful to the cause of humanity than that which preceded it… Such were the awful results of the damnable doctrines that I preached to mankind, in the name of Jesus Christ. Had I known the baneful consequences of my reckless ambition, wicked as was my nature, I could not have continued in the course which has proved the greatest curse that ever afflicted mankind.” (Pg. 24)

Turning to Jesus’s story, a ‘genius’ old man tells him, “however noble and benevolent may be thy intent, thy doctrines and name will prove for many centuries the curse of mankind!’” (Pg. 135)

‘Jesus’ addresses a crowd about the Exodus, “Here we have a tale of the greatest inconsistency and absurdity that ever was related; either the tale if one of the grossest, lying, absurd productions, or the Lord Jehovah ins an absurd, cruel, imbecile monstrosity. After some silly contests between the Lord and Pharaoh’s conjurers and the Lord killing the first-born of the Egyptians, the Children of Israel force their way out and cross the Red Sea through a valley made of waters. Now if the Lord could do such wonderful things as this, what is the reason he could not have taken the children out without killing the first-born? Why did he not kill Pharaoh instead? That would have settled the matter at once… You may then perceive, my friends, that the history of the exodus is not a reliable fact on which the feast of the Passover is founded, and … if [God Jehovah] had anything to do with that affair, it is not worthy of our thanks, our gratitude or our notice.” (Pg. 192-193)

Of Jesus’ ‘raising’ of Lazarus, the book states, “Lazarus was under a state of asphyxia.. The superior nervous power of Jesus being present, began to awaken the dormant nerves of the sick man, which by certain indications that Jesus perceived, caused him to suspect that life was not extinct. He then exercises his power over him to the full extent, and the result was that Lazarus was restored to himself and family… but it was more consonant with the peoples’ mind to believe that Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.” (Pg. 242)

Jesus explains to ‘Mary’: “thy former neighbors at Nazareth, known to thee as Joseph and Mary, were not my parents… when I returned from my travels and re-visited my native village of Nazareth, I found my foster mother, Mary, in her last hour of life…. I have now revealed the secret, whose son I am not, but whose son I am I know no more than before. Since then I have made search and inquiry to discover my true parents, but so far I have failed.” (Pg. 315-316)

Ultimately, the truth is revealed: “When Glaphira told Herod [Antipas] that Jesus was his son, and showed him … the proof… he felt an instinctive horror at the possibility of its being true... ‘Then the Gods have cursed me!’ exclaimed Herod as he struck himself upon the breast in the excitement of this terror and anguish.” (Pg. 354-355)

How did Judas die? During a swordfight with ‘Saul.’ “‘Poor Judas!’ ejaculated Saul as he looked down upon the corpse. ‘Thou hast gone from this envious and treacherous world to the deep shades of death. Of all men of my acquaintance thou hast proved worthy of my high estimation. Thy qualities were worthy of great standing, and a better fate than thou hast had. The loss of no one do I regret more than thee, thou I have been thy murderer!’” (Pg. 364)

The book ends by reproducing, “The Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus By an Eye-Witness,’ which purports to be “A discovered MSS of the old Alexandrian Library giving, almost complete, a remarkable and lengthy letter, full, detailed, graphic and apparently truthful account by an Eye-Witness and friend of Jesus, an Elder of the Essene Order, to which Jesus belonged, showing Jesus did not die upon the Cross but six months later.”

An example from it: “Nicodemus, who was an experienced physician, said … that the peculiar atmosphere prepared in the air by the revolution of the elements, was beneficial to Jesus, and that he never had believed that Jesus was actually dead. And he spoke of, that the blood and water that flowed from the wound was a sure sign that life was not extinct.’ (Pg. 64)

The Unarian Brotherhood appends and Addendum, which states such things as: “The true birth of Jesus, his love for Mary (Lazarus’ daughter) as childhood sweethearts as they grew up together is one of tremendous romantic appeal, yet here, there should be some clarification with his birth… It was this same Herod Antipas (Annanias), who seduced and ravaged Glaphira, Princess of Iturea… who, finding that she had become pregnant, fled into hiding… As this disgrace became a family affair, it quite naturally became the sworn objective of father Herod, number 1, to rid himself of the stigma of an illegitimate child, which resulted in the slaying of the firstborn babes in the province of Judea… where Glaphira was believed to be hiding. Thus, it was, that the maiden Mary, Jesus’ foster-mother was given the child and who, with the foster-father, the old man, Joseph, reared their son into adulthood, spending part of his early lifetime with the Essenic brotherhood, and in the temple, as described in the book.” (Pg. 98)

This book may appeal to some of the more ‘far out’ readers (e.g., the Unarians).

Certainly an interesting read of a man unexpectedly becoming a Medium for St. Paul and Judas, as they began giving him their confessions and the True Story of Jesus of Nazareth through audible and visual impressions. This book's an interesting account of these experiences that led to him becoming an author.
