Gay erotic romance. Stephen Dominick is a sophisticated, world-famous billionaire. Gabriel Mason is a young, naive college student. It's been a month since Dom and Gabriel parted under unpleasant circumstances, and Gabriel is looking for someone to help him move on. Can sex with a stranger help ease his anger and pain... or can Gabriel only find comfort in Dom's arms?
Length: Novella (12,500 words). This is a serial romance.
Warnings: Explicit m/m sex, blunt language.
Look for the other available books in the series-- Supplicant, Submission, Domination and Exposure. The final book, Illumination, will be released in February 2013.
Meg Harris is a busy mom who spends her spare moments dreaming up worlds a little sexier than the one in which she drives kids around, runs to the grocery store, does endless loads of laundry, and scrubs the kitchen floor. Her chosen profession involves a great deal of time dedicated to imagining sweaty, gorgeous men in the throes of passion, as well as long hours spent poring over pictures of beautiful male chests in the pursuit of the perfect cover. It's a tough job, but she's willing to bear the hardships... all for her readers, of course!
This is a teeny, tiny book that is really a chapter of a longer story. If you start this series, be prepared to purchase all the mini books because none of the stories stand alone (a pet peeve for me) and in my opinion, once you purchase all the books you are paying too much for the word count and quality of the story. I read all 5 books in a morning whilst looking after 7 kids and cleaning the house...that's how short these books are!
This story is hard to rate because the two MCs are so very difficult to like. They are both spoilt, nasty little shits and I really don't think they deserve a HEA...to be honest, they both need to be sent into time out and soundly spanked for their revolting behaviour. Added to that, these books are basically porn...over 80% of the word count is sex, not love-making, sex. Sex fueled by anger and angst and pain and guilt and self-loathing.
If you are looking for porn without romance cluttering up the story AND have money to burn, then read this series...it's not bad but I won't count it among my favourites...I will re-read the series when the 6th (and hopefully final) book comes out in February 2013 but after that I doubt I will revisit them.
This book surprised me. I'm not sure how to review it without giving spoilers, and this is definitely a case where I'd not want to read spoilers in the review, so I'll focus on how the book made me feel. I truly did not expect to become so emotionally involved in this series, but it just kept improving with each story. Things really change for Gabriel in this installment. He finally accepts his sexuality in spite of his deep-rooted religious upbringing. That wasn't the unexpected part though. I could see his growth with each book as Dom broke through his innocence on ever-increasing levels. However, I did not expect the changes I saw in Dom. This story actually moved me to tears by the end. At this point, I don't even want to try to figure out what is going to happen next with these two entangled lives. I look forward to seeing how Gem Frost decides to bring the series to a close. I have a feeling I may actually miss the guys when it's over. That in itself is a surprise coming from someone who doesn't care much about reading m/m stories.
