Gay erotic romance. Stephen Dominick is a sophisticated, world-famous billionaire. Gabriel Mason is a young, naive college student. Gabriel has finally admitted to himself that he wants Dom more than he's ever wanted anyone. But a sensual night of surrender turns from bliss to betrayal, and leaves Gabriel vulnerable ... and exposed.
Meg Harris is a busy mom who spends her spare moments dreaming up worlds a little sexier than the one in which she drives kids around, runs to the grocery store, does endless loads of laundry, and scrubs the kitchen floor. Her chosen profession involves a great deal of time dedicated to imagining sweaty, gorgeous men in the throes of passion, as well as long hours spent poring over pictures of beautiful male chests in the pursuit of the perfect cover. It's a tough job, but she's willing to bear the hardships... all for her readers, of course!
This is a teeny, tiny book that is really a chapter of a longer story. If you start this series, be prepared to purchase all the mini books because none of the stories stand alone (a pet peeve for me) and in my opinion, once you purchase all the books you are paying too much for the word count and quality of the story. I read all 5 books in a morning whilst looking after 7 kids and cleaning the house...that's how short these books are!
This story is hard to rate because the two MCs are so very difficult to like. They are both spoilt, nasty little shits and I really don't think they deserve a HEA...to be honest, they both need to be sent into time out and soundly spanked for their revolting behaviour. Added to that, these books are basically porn...over 80% of the word count is sex, not love-making, sex. Sex fueled by anger and angst and pain and guilt and self-loathing.
If you are looking for porn without romance cluttering up the story AND have money to burn, then read this series...it's not bad but I won't count it among my favourites...I will re-read the series when the 6th (and hopefully final) book comes out in February 2013 but after that I doubt I will revisit them.
This time around we get to see what happens when Gabriel gets outed against his will. The passion is hot as usual between Gabe and Dom, and Dom still struggles with what he feels in his heart verses what he was raised to believe. The lines are continuing to fade and grow thinner as he continues to explore his attraction to Dom. This book was pretty predictable, but never the less enjoyable to read. The chemistry between the two men is sexy enough to keep the reader glued to the pages. The writing gets stronger with each installment, and I'm actually growing rather fond of the guys. I sometimes wish there was a little more depth though. It would be nice to see what things look like from Kerryn's point of view as well. That being said, I never felt short-changed and I think I'd give this an additional half-star if I could. Well worth the read.
This one started great, romantic even. I loved it.... until the end happen. I felt that if I was Gabriel I would've been close to commiting suicide (and/or murder) after what Dom did to him. There's ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE IN HELL that I would forgive someone who did that to me. I hope I don't get dissapointed reading the next story.
I really liked this one, but Dom made me so angry. I can't believe he turned out to be such a sleize towards Gabriel. He wasn't exactly the nicest in the rest of them, but based on the prequels to this series, just figured it was only a cover. Overall,I am enjoying the series, though.
What did I think? I think Dom needs to do some serious grovelling/changing/growing up before he pushes Gabriel too far for them to have a believable HEA.
