“Children who feel that music can be a means of self expression will value it.” ❤️ I used my prep time to work through Arvida’s book, and I regret nothing. She packed the book with lots of great ideas for structuring an Orff curriculum. I added so many highlights and “yes”s/connections in the margins. Her work has aged well because despite some of the rep no longer considered acceptable, as Arvida points out in the intro, it’s “up to each generation of teachers to reinterpret these ideas for themselves.”
