This volume contributes to the build up of the fight between Baki and his Dad. Also the origin of Baki's parents. Baki gets an emotional shock from his father to heat him up for the battle. Then he goes to train against an elite team of Commandos in a mountain range. Its all about the real life battle experience, and Baki is already in deep trouble.

While the series has gome to shock value and teenage edgyness, I can't say I'm not interested by everything else.

Yujro's desire to find a rival for him to fight, and the terrible way he did to that end. And Baki's new desire to fight him and make him pay for how he has treated him all his life, all of it quite compeling.

Now, Baki still can't face his father, there's a huge difference between them. The solution? Wll go to fight a group of five super soldiers.
