Plan and Prep: Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse

Rate this book
Plan and Prep: Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse is an introductory guide to emergency and disaster planning and preparation.

This book follows Bill Jones and his family as they navigate their way through a series of emergency and disaster events, culminating in the outbreak of a Zombie Apocalypse.

Plan and Prep: Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse walks the reader through basic planning and preparation techniques and attempts to answer most of the more basic questions before they are asked. Areas that are often overlooked by beginners are explored, and some of the more common misconceptions are discussed.

Although not a "Survival Handbook", this guide will provide real world plan and prep ideas and solutions that anyone can add to their prepper toolkit.

I bought this book because I am interested in the prepping movement. The author does a terrific job explaining the basics to prepping. He gives several logical incidences that give reasons to prep and then offers advice on what to bring when you're bugging out. Without giving too much away, I learned that a BoB is a bug-out bag and it's wise to have a PSS or primary shelter site before a disaster. Other things I learned are what kinds of things to bring, the value of honey, and that zombies are real (aka infected person who lost their sanity). This book is a must-read and should be in everyone's BoB! 5 stars. Dina Rae

Great book for the novice prepper or for the supposed expert. If you want a view into the world of Prepping start here. This book is set up to be your guide to prepping for the emergencies while having a little fun along the way.

The main body of the book is a good overview and set thinking processes in the correct direction. Ignore Appendix A and 4 of every 5 "hints" in this appendix are unrealistic and not worth the effort (bang for the buck) they take; there are better ways.

Disasters "R" Us

By using zombies as a metaphor for disaster preparedness, this made for a very readable book on the whys and wherefores of preparing for eventual emergencies. Living in earthquake country made this book interesting to me. There were many scenarios and ideas that I have not thought of. Now I'm off to pack my "BOB."

I really enjoyed the first 3/4 of this book. Using potentially real situations made its value immediately apparent and even if you don't worry about the end of society as we know it, everyone knows of someone who has lost everything in a fire....my family did when I was a teen. Just knowing how to prepare for a short-term issue is valuable. The book lost me at the end when the author started speculating about possible causes of world-wide devastation, but I will definitely be prepared for a flood or hurricane now

one of the best survival guides i have read in a while. While using the zombie apocalypse as a fun back drop, this book gives great info on how to prepare, survive, and thrive during ANY type of end of days disaster. So if you are looking to expand your knowledge, or just want a refresher, this book is a must have for any type of dooms day prepper, or for the regular joe who wants a leg up on his neighbors when the end comes!
