This Yr 11 & 12 textbook was so interesting to me, from 1981 and 1982. There was a prac manual as a supplementary text which was rarely used in class, but as I remember, the textbook's chapters were very informative and sparked an interest in me for natural world sciences as well as human biology. I remember chapters on Darwin and theories of adaptation fairly well, and the classification of living things into Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species has never left me. In fact I have read and worked in fields where this stuff has been useful, and I read with interest as things change and become more sophisticated in naming of plants. There was a very good appendix with Classification made simple in the edition I read. It's not on my shelves at home anymore, but I may have found a copy at my workplace that a teacher still uses.
