Getting More Blog Traffic Couldn’t Be Any Simpler

Ever wish you could get the Cliff notes for writing popular posts? Skip the years of studying marketing and psychology, skip the countless hours honing your writing skills, skip the painful process of trying and failing over and over until you get it right. Just go straight to what works, and forget everything else. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Well, here’s your chance. After years of writing viral posts at Copyblogger, I took everything I learned and condensed it into this “Cheat Sheet” for writing popular posts. No, it’s not a replacement for mastering the craft, but if you’re a beginner, and you want a quick boost to your blog traffic, then this is absolutely where you should start.

This collection of 52 headline suggestions gives a bit of reasoning behind each headline type and how each headline has been used successfully by others. It is too soon to tell if the headline hack I used today brought in more traffic to my blog, but I noticed more RTs on Twitter. So, maybe these hacks work. Time will tell. In the meantime, I plan on using Morrow's suggestions. They're clever and make good sense.

Concise, to the point. Liked it a lot - although it's full of sad facts about humanity.
