The Barnabas Factor

Rate this book
Everybody loves to be encouraged - a pat on the back, a helping hand, a kind word. Not everyone can be a great preacher or Bible class teacher. But everyone can be an encourager, and that includes you. It doesn't matter if you are young or old, a woman or a man, rich or poor. God has already given you everything you need to be an encourager - all you have to do is put to use those abilities you already have. You too, can become a Barnabas, a Son of Encouragement. All you have to do is practice being an enourager. You will be absolutely astounded at what it will do for other people and most of all, for you.

Aubrey Johnson is a preacher and pastor with both a Doctorate in Leadership and a Master of Divinity. This book is a very valuable and practical guide to the ministry of encouragement.

Highly recommended for those starting in leadership positions as well as those serving in the Church. The Barnabas Factor is full of helpful information although a little dry in its presentation.

I did this as a study with a friend, and life interrupted us multiple times. BUT the study was really good and lead us to grow spiritually and actively reflect on how we were doing as encouragers.
