6.75/10; pleasant to read, didn’t like how the last sentence was written, which kind of soured the memory of the book for me (although I recognized that it is a middle grade book). And Manther? Really?. There are thousands of at least okay names that the author could have picked, and instead she picked a ridiculous portmanteau Still, the book has a charm to it that made me finish it a third or a half nonstop.
