A set of these two books (English Extra - Keystage 3 and Keystage 4) should provide English departments with a resource which can be relied upon to contain useful and stimulating cover lessons. Such lessons are a normal weekly feature of secondary school life, and the lessons in these books are especially geared to go alongside the kind of work that the pupils would be regularly undertaking. INSET training, exam moderation, school trips, visiting parents, (not to mention stress and sickness), all increasingly take the teacher away from the classroom.
