Then they find they are not the only ones playing!
This book is more like a novella with only 64 pages but the author got a good story across in a short time. The game is called Quarry. Some high school kids invented it. One is the quarry and the others have to find him or her and mark them with his or her own paint color, the goal being to get there first. Rita is the head of the group and the best player until Sean, a newcomer, ties with her. They decide to face off, one on one, and the clues for Sean to follow and find Rita are very clever. However, Sean discovers that some dangerous men are also hunting for Rita. How can he foil them?
Man, it's been years since I've read this book. It's a great quick read and it is actually entertaining. I always enjoy reading this book, no matter how old I get.
