I don’t fit in here and never will. But is leaving what God wants for me? This is the question seventeen-year-old Alli Mancini keeps asking herself. At every turn, she’s mocked for her Christian faith and harassed by Shanice and Kim, two popular girls who have it out for her. And whenever she sees Chad Barton, she remembers how he humiliated her and shattered her heart. With graduation coming soon, moving to California for a fresh start feels like the right idea. But which will be harder—leaving or staying? Alli’s best friend, Tessa, is hurting and Alli feels responsible. She’d been at the party the night Tessa was drugged and kidnapped by traffickers, and Alli wonders if she could’ve done more to protect her friend that night. It’s been months since her escape, but Tessa continues to wrestle with the darkness that threatens to overcome her. Alli fears that leaving Tessa in her fragile state would only cause her more pain. Then there’s Anthony. Good-looking and an all-around amazing guy. Anthony’s feelings for her are obvious and Alli can’t ignore the awakening in her own heart. Would she miss out on what could have been between them if she left? No matter what she decides, there are challenges ahead for her. In desperation, Alli turns to the one source she should’ve started with, knowing that trusting God will lead her to make the right choice. But does she remember how to trust God? ♦ Find out in “Just Solitary Me,” the second installment in the Proverb’s Daughters trilogy. ♦
REGINA FELTY was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she claims you can find the finest Italian hoagies and soft pretzels on the East Coast. Although she had always kept a journal and wrote short stories for fun, it was during her turbulent teen years in a foster home that Regina turned to writing as a source of personal therapy.
Besides dividing her time between being an author and her career as an American Sign Language Educational Interpreter, Regina also manages her personal blog, It’s a Felty Thing, and has a special place in her heart for troubled youth.

A great second book in the Proverb's Daughters Trilogy!
Alli was such a sympathetic character who had to make lots of hard decisions. I liked seeing her growth throughout this book.
The plot moved along at a gentle but attention-keeping pace, and I'm looking forward to reading the third book in the trilogy. I appreciated that Regina Felty kept both the language and hints of romance clean, and I enjoyed her writing style.
Overall, Just Solitary Me was an engaging read that I'd recommend to those who love Christian fiction and young adult novels.
It was such a great story! It really doesn't make much sense if you don't read the first book lol, but it was a great complimentary book. The first one was definitely more interesting. I think I would have liked it better if she became his girlfriend like has she ever hear of long distance? Lol but great Christian fiction.

I highly recommend Regina Felty’s Book Two of the Proverb’s Daughters Series - Just Solitary Me - to teens and to their adults. I’m a mom, and I was instantly immersed in the life of the teenage main character. Felty made her 100% believable. I felt her emotions and understood her indecisiveness as she faced real life decisions. I was right there with her as she had conversations with mom, friends, and teachers that were full of honesty and authenticity. I cried when she cried, and I laughed when she laughed. I felt her despair and her joy. I read this book in just a few sittings, because I never wanted to stop, and because it flows so smoothly from chapter to chapter that it was easy to keep going. Teens will feel heard when they read this book. Teens will see themselves, their friends, their school, their life on these pages. This story inspires and encourages all of us that: Friendship is worth the investment. When someone wants to get better they will. Prayer is powerful even if the answers don’t show up in a “banner in the sky.” Be true to your authentic self and it will all work out. (I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author, but the opinions in this review are all my own. I was not required to write a review.)
Great continuation of the first book. The writing style really pulled me in and I got to know Alli even more. She has grown a lot and learned a lot. This book touched on a lot of opportunities for forgiveness, for compassion, for improving faulty relationships, and also for making those tough life-path decisions. I do wish there was a bit more development of the story regarding some of the minor characters (Colton, Chad, Anthony, Avery, Shanice), but I understand this story was really to focus on Alli and her growth. The last 15% or so of the book seemed a little rushed in my opinion. Almost as if the page limit was nearing and there were some loose ends to quickly wrap up. I'm curious what the third book will hold (I believe it will be a trilogy?). But overall I enjoyed following Alli's journey!
I really enjoyed the character development was, and how realistic the different characters are in this book. Alli's struggles as a young Christian are very relatable. However, I was not a fan of her long winded internal monologs. They were starting to feel a bit preachy, something that I felt was better balanced in the first book.
I also appreciate that not all of Alli's problems were neatly solved at the end. Not everyone liked her, nor did she like everyone else. It makes the story more believable. I am eager to have my teenaged daughter read this series.
Such a beautiful story about the importance of friendship, overcoming hardships and trusting God to guide your path. I can’t wait to see Tessa and Ali’s friendship rekindle and grow in the next book! I highly recommend!
