I only skimmed the second half, a catalogue of worldwide submarine types, but I got a lot of useful information out of this clear, well-written, lavishly illustrated guide.

My father served on Submarines from 1943 - 65 and this comprehensive superbly illustrated volume filled in so many gaps in my understanding of the various class boats! I also appreciated learning about the international subs - German, Russian, Japanese, and British.
