Willow Talbot fell for her sister's boyfriend, and when they broke up she thought the worst of him. When they both end up at Elmwood, she decides to get vengeance for her heart and give him what he deserves. Months later, she learns her fury was based on a lie.
Mathias Talmidge is the villain, and he knows it. After his confrontation with Willow, everything changes for him. He gets help, he starts to free himself from the trauma of his own past, and make amends for what he's done. The only thing he wants for himself is the one woman he never should have fallen for, but never got over...
I don’t know how to feel about this book I don’t feel like Mathias really deserved redemption but he did get it, he worked on himself and said his apologies which made me begrudgingly like him but I really didn’t like him with willow I feel like the power dynamic was off and the CNC wasn’t done well enough for it to be believeable due to the length of the book
Mathies has a super messed up past and is now trying to right his wrongs, meanwhile Willow is mad at him over something he never even did which results in her doing something at the start of the book which left me very conflicted on my opinion of her.
