Currently reading this one for school, and am actually really enjoying it. It defines management from leadership to help nurses to be better leaders in their fields... Interesting. A class that I can actually get into! Actually was a great book and has inspired me to get a Masters degree in Leadership at Gonzaga. Pretty good for a required read;)
I picked this up at a nursing conference a few years ago and found it very applicable to my field. It was a fresh look at leadership for me, and I learned much from this book. I have a leadership course coming up and know it will be useful information to apply to that course. Not bad for what turned out to be a textbook.
So far one of the things I like best is the re-framing of what we often perceive as completely out of control chaos through chaos theory to show underlying patterns that can be grasped and worked with.
