Become a punk, a Victorian gent, a gnome, or even a pirate—all it takes is one of these 20 fantastic knitted disguises! The hilarious and fun-to-do projects include beards, moustaches, and different hairstyles (Mohawk, pigtails, even a bald head). Complete the look with an accessory like a bandit mask or a monocle. It's the perfect book for Halloween, costume parties, or whenever you want to turn into someone else for a little while.
Knit Your Own Moustache by Vicky Eames is a creative, funny, wonderful book that I think every family should have. I chose to read this book, because I felt a family member would like it, he might find it funny. I will definitely be getting him a copy and maybe one for my mother. I think that my kids would love to play around with the animal ears, the costumes, the mustaches and enjoy the pictures. I don't know how they got all the models to keep straight faces, but I think that is part of the humor. I received a free copy of this book in return for my honest opinion.
I do crochet, so there's not much in here directly for me (eye mask, "paper bag") but every photo and each pattern is an inspiration to creativity. Fabulous fun, they're not just moustaches and beards, but wigs and disguises of a great variety. This would even be a great conversation starter on one's coffee table when entertaining. The only reason it did not get all stars from me is I'm not a knitter - so I can't evaluate the quality of the actual patterns.
Such a fun book! Mostly knitted projects (about 75%), all with DK weight yarn. Moustaches beards, animal ears, wig with braids and even a rasta hat with dreadlocks. Since most of the projects are small, you can knit them up quickly. Lots of pictures, patterns seem straight forward, mostly flat knitting except for hats, wigs. I can’t wait to try some of these projects out!

This was fun once I realized that the patterns were written in British crafting terms. The patterns all use simple stitches in both knit and/or crochet to create some interesting "disguises". Grandson requested a "paper bag with eye holes". A friend wants "cat ears".
I do strongly suggest watching some YouTube videos on techniques as described in the glossary since there aren't any illustrations only descriptions. (A circular cast on needs a visual, in my opinion.)
A bonkers little book on knitting and crocheting tashes and other disguises. Whats not to like about the quirky little gem. Ideal for Movember. Loved it.
