About the author

Marne Ann Kirk grew up wild, running and exploring the vast high deserts and mountains of Idaho, Montana, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado as a child. She loved making up stories and, well, lied about just about everything. Thankfully, she grew out of the lying stage...now she calls it story-telling.

If she wasn't making her own adventures, she was reading. Life, and the need to eat, got in the way of writing for a time; but in 2002, Marne Ann quit the day job and began writing full-time.

Marne Ann has a wonderful husband (her own strong, sexy hero) who keeps her laughing, seven kids and two fantabulous grandsons who rock her world and keep her on her toes. She has a small herd of Shih-Tzus to keep her lap warm when she writes, and a cat with one tooth who keeps the mice at bay outside. She loves to write. She loves the mountains, but in a perfect world she would spend a few months a year on the beach. Preferably in Mexico or Jamaica.

Teagan has been the run for as long as she can remember and isn’t about to change that fact. She wants nothing to do with her family and has done almost everything she can think of to keep them and her Mother’s warriors from finding her. Unfortunately for Teagan, it hasn’t worked. They’ve been able to track her down a couple of times, and so have the Fomorian’s – but thankfully she’s been able to slip through their grasp.

Merric a warrior of the Tuatha de Danann has been tracking Teagan at her Mother’s order. Hoping to bring her home to her family and keep her safe as the Fomorian’s are hunting for “the Key” and a way into their realm. Teagan has been able to keep one step ahead of him and his best warrior’s, but one wrong move could not only land Teagan in some deep trouble, but all of them.

Both Teagan and Merric have connection beyond what can be explained in this review. I loved the interaction between these two characters, from the banter, the arguing and the sexual tension that sizzled off the page. Could they get past their issues and figure out they are meant for one another? Okay, there is so much going on in this story, I don’t want to dig too deep into what happens because I can’t ruin the story for the rest of you.

Would I recommend this book? Most definitely. I know I’m a huge fan of books about Gods and Goddesses, so this was a perfect read for me. And I’m sure there are others out there that will love this book as much as I did. Would I read more by this author? Oh yes, that’s for sure! I can’t wait to see what happens in Book 2 and eagerly await it!

Teagan is a demi-goddess hiding in small towns from her mother and the Tuatha Du Danaan warriors - especially the leader, Merric. When Demons come looking for Tegan to find one of the keys that her mother gave her, she runs smack into Merric and his men and she is forced to take her daughter Katie and go into hiding with them. Sparks fly between her and Merric - both angry ones and lusty ones. Will Merric be able to win her heart? Will Teagan mend relationships with her mother? Will the demons win? Read Goddess on the run to find out.

Goddess on the Run was a very enjoyable read that I finished in a single sitting. I loved Teagan's caring, helping heart and her sassy kick butt attitude. Katie is a sweet girl that everyone falls in love with. She is so in tune to her momma's feelings and she does so much for the people she cares for. Merric is a hottie, who you can't help falling for right along side Teagan. There is just the right amount of tension and sexual buildup between the two. I also enjoyed the antics of Merric's warriors. Living with all those men must be something like living in a frat house.

Goddess in the Run is a well written engrossing story. I did not notice any spelling or grammar errors. The plot was very well paced, and kept me turning pages. I loved this book, and I gave it four stars. I can't wait for book two in the series. I've noticed that I'm really liking a lot of books published by Crescent Moon Press.

Teagan has been on her own for a while. She wants nothing to do with her mother or her destiny. On top of that she isn't only hiding herself and when the Tuatha de Danaan warriors finally catch up to her she has a lot of explaining to do.

I had absolutely zero trouble getting into GODDESS ON THE RUN. From the first chapter the book was full of action, snark and a bad ass alpha female not taking crap from an alpha male. Katie was easy to enjoy and I loved all the twists and turns that were thrown out involving her. You will have no clue about what I'm talking about until you read the book but the shower scene cracked me up. There is so much build up to the moment and for Teagan to react the way she did had me smiling, wincing and laughing out loud. The plot was great and had a nice easy flow to it. The secondary characters were fun to meet and played a nice part in the story as a whole. I'm really hoping that the other books in the series will feature Teagan again. I enjoyed getting to know her and I want to know what will happen with her next but I have a feeling the focus will be on someone else =( Either way I'm going to read on and im sure I will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed GODDESS ON THE RUN.

This is the first book in a series that I'm going to love!
Teagan, a fearful demi-Goddess with a secret, is running from her destiny and from her soul-mate, Merric, who is determined to protect and love her--with or without her cooperation. Teagan is a feisty heroine with a huge heart and a snarky attitude that can't help but amuse and enchant the reader. Merric is a hero with a lot to learn about women, who is relentless and patient. What's not to love? Ms Kirk has a wonderful touch building their sexual tension without sliding into corny cliches. I'm really looking forward to seeing their relationship as a united couple in future books. This is a fast-paced story with powerful moments that captivated this reader. If you enjoy fantasy and romance, this is a must read.

This book was definitely awesome! I first of all won this book in a giveaway on a site called Goodreads/Firstreads. The story is about a godess on the run for her entire life from her mother, when she is caught by the man she will resent and love at the same time. I am left dying to know what happens next! I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars was a great read and will linger in my mind for a long time. I cannot wait for book 2! Yes finally a book full of fun and excitement. I loved it and Definitely highly recommend it:)

I joined RMFW Association several months ago. I met Marne and have a signed copy from her! I always think it is exciting to meet authors. I am not a huge Fantasy fan, but loved The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, so while it is not a favorite genre for me... I still enjoy reading.

This book is brain-candy. It is an adrenaline read. It is watching an episode of "Heroes." I was eager to return to it each time I had a moment to enter Marne's fantasy world and see Teagan reconcile differences, discover love, and kick Fomorian butt.

Enjoyed this story of a girl "demi god" on her own. Finding help from a mother she didn't think wanted her. That help in the form of hot looking warriors. Has action, humor & romance. Looking foward to the next book.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought this was supposed to be a series? Hopefully there will be more. I would have liked it better if she didn't have a kid but the story was fun and engaging.
