Foursomes For All #1

A Lusting Couple

Rate this book
Janet and Toby's youngest child has gone off to college. For the first time in years, their time is their own. One evening Janet receives an email with the subject line, "From Toby's secret admirer." Janet understands why women are attracted to her husband, but that doesn’t mean she tolerates those who don’t keep it to themselves. For the author of the email to announce herself makes Janet angry enough that she ignores her don’t-open-unsolicited-emails rule.

Hi Janet,

I love what your new Blanks do for your butt. Surprised? I’m not just Toby’s secret admirer; I’m yours, too. My husband and I have decided to seduce your husband and you. We’ve been talking about having a foursome with the two of you for so long that just making the decision to initiate contact has me terribly aroused.

I’m bi, my husband isn’ the same as you and Toby. We aren’t swingers. The only man I will ever have intercourse with is my husband, and the only woman he will ever have intercourse with is me. But you and I can do whatever we want with each other and never break that rule, can’t we?

Would your husband enjoy watching you make love to another woman? I know mine would love to watch me. And I have always wanted to take on two men at once. If you’ll let me take Toby in my mouth while my husband takes me from behind, I’m sure I can find something to occupy myself with while watching you having the favor returned. What would you like to get up to?

Warmest regards,
XX

My pen name is Janet G. In addition to being a well regarded RN and health services administrator, I am the author of A Lusting Couple, an erotic e-novel based on the sexual foursome my husband and I have been involved in since shortly after our youngest child moved away to university. This relationship is passionate, nurturing and deeply rewarding for all of us.

I have been a voracious reader all my life and I enjoy writing. Over the years I have published numerous articles in professional journals as well as opinion pieces on healthcare issues for national newspapers, magazines and websites.

In January of 2010, probably as a reaction to the constraint of having to hide the heart of my sexual being, I responded to an ad on Craigslist: “Erotic e-book start-up seeks true stories.”

A Lusting Couple was released by BbB Digital Publishing in January, 2011. Though sales were slow at first, the reviews were very complimentary. Once sales climbed to where I could be certain that every night, someone, somewhere, was sharing in the pleasure we have found, I felt I had accomplished what I set out to do. But as readers contacted me via BbB, I learned that there was a desire in the erotica community for more stories of ordinary couples engaging in group sex without threatening that which makes them a couple. Reading their stories, I decided I wanted to continue writing stories that spoke to the hearts (and other parts) of those like myself and my lovers.

My first work of fiction, Really Good Neighbors, was released by BbB in April, 2012, as volume 2 of what is now my own series, Foursomes For All. Volume 3, Telling Stories, was released on January 1st, 2013.

If you are one of the 180,000+ readers of my short stories and excerpts posted on Literotica, Booksie and UK Short Fiction, I am glad you've made it here. Anyone wishing to contact me privately (I personally respond to all emails) can reach me at foursomesforall @ gmail.com. Please note that I have no interest in chatting with you or exchanging nude pictures. I have spent a lifetime developing my professional reputation and I expect my readers will respect my privacy as I respect theirs.

Let me start by saying that I was anticipating reading this one. I tried sticking to my TBR list order but eventually gave in. I knew a bit of what to expect from the synopsis and it all felt so decadent to me. Like I was about to write a letter to Penthouse Forum or something :)

The book is non-fiction, the author’s story of her and her husband’s love affair with another couple. It begins with the author, Janet, receiving an email from a woman who says she is not only Janet’s husband’s secret admirer, she’s bisexual as well. Janet and Toby had long ago been part of a threesome (of sorts) and so after discussing it with Toby, they decide to meet the woman and her husband.

I was instantly drawn to the story. Not just because of my curiosity but also because I enjoyed the author’s style of writing. It was easy to picture Janet and I was of course drawn to Toby, I mean…

“He holds himself like what he is, a man so comfortable in his skin that his sensuality is innate, completely unstudied.”

So initially the book takes us back to when Janet and Toby started living together. Toby realizes that Janet is bisexual and Janet meets Sara. Years later, now married, kids off to college and of course after the email, Janet and Toby discuss the possibility of inviting two more people to their twosome.

I have to admit I think threesomes and foursomes for that matter always sound so coordinated in books (and this book was no different.) But i’ve always thought in reality it might be a bit of a mess; where do I start, what do I do, is he feeling neglected, is she feeling neglected… I made a mental note to ask the author if there was ever an awkward moment or its just my (surprisingly still slightly prudish) brain messing with me.

And ever wondered what the moments after having sex with a couple feel like? I would go for ‘awkward’ but not for these four.

“We are all taken aback by the intensity of what has just taken place. We’re not tense about it. We’re more the way neighbors are after a storm; concerned but generous, and full of wonder.”

Was the book steamy? yes! I enjoyed some scenes…really enjoyed them ;) but others were too descriptive. Also, I became wary of the author’s usage of terms like labia majora while describing some scenes. I don’t know why, but I don’t consider that term sexy. Though why I would consider cunt sexy is beyond me. I guess i’m weird like that:)

My biggest worry about polyamorous relationships and what I thought of as inevitable was the question of jealousy. I kept wondering when it would rear its ugly head. There were a few aspects I thought would cause friction. For example I felt like the women had too deep a connection, and wondered if their husbands would be comfortable with it. The inevitable did happen, but for a different reason. But then 94% also happened (probably my favorite scene). Anyone who knows me knows I don’t blush but this scene had me close to doing just that!

I’ll end by saying that this is erotica, pure and simple…well..not pure and simple ;) but don’t read it expecting erotic romance. Read it for the love of good erotica or simply if you’re curious about the lifestyle. But as Janet warns and I fully agree,

“It is our communal opinion that a foursome is not for everyone. We think it works for us for three reasons. One, we were happily married for many years before forming the foursome; two, we were happily married when we made the decision and, three; no one saw the foursome as a means of solving a problem. Maybe a foursome is perfect for us because what both couples brought to ours was already perfect.”

I give it 3.5 stars.

3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4

I can't say I loved it but I didn't hate it either. It was an interesting-ish story with a few surprises. Apparently it is based on actual events, however I had trouble believing some of the events.

I am pleased the arrangement worked for these four, there was a time I didn't think it was going to end well but they were all big enough to move on and get over 'the event' that nearly ruined their arrangement.

I like reading erotic short stories and I have a few favorite sites on the web where I indulge myself (Booksie, Literotica, UK Short Fiction, etc.). The first time I read a story by Janet G, I knew that I had finally found someone who saw sex and passion and love the same way I do and who had the skill to make my fantasies real.

In my opinion, Janet G is the finest writer of erotica working today. Her attention to detail, her ability to describe the indescribable, her pacing - she writes like a good lover makes love. A Lusting Couple is her only novel to date. It tells a unique story (a love affair between two str8 husband - bi wife couples) that allows for both true romance and crazy orgies. And all of it beautifully written.

Excellent erotic novel. An interesting story primarily told in sex scenes. The writing is far better than the vast majority of the genre and the author knows how to build - and release - tension. Four stars.

Nicely written, good story, loving sex that I could imagine myself in the middle of. If you are looking for a book that helps you fantasize about what you and your partner could get up to if you really wanted to, this is the one, especially for bi-women.

A Lusting Couple is Janet G's autobiographical story of the foursome she and her husband have been involved in for a number of years. Explicit and well written.

Summary
A Lusting Couple by Janet G is the story of an empty nest couple who decide to recapture some of the sexual adventure of their youth by accepting an anonymous, erotic invitation. This story chronicles Janet and Toby falling both in lust and in love with their mysterious admirers. It also describes what they are all wearing in a bit too much detail. This is a decent read and worth the $3.50 price for 133 pages for most people.

Fantasy World
A Lusting Couple takes place in Chicago and Aruba. Chicago feels just as cold and windy as it is, and Aruba is a lovely fantasy background for a fantastical situation.

Tingle Factor
This story is very hot and has sex happening every which way including lesbian and menage play.

Romance
Despite all the hot sex, there is plenty of romance. The two couples truly fall in love with each other and experience the expansive nature of polyamory. Their extensive love may be a little much for some readers who have enough trouble loving one person let alone three.

Drama
True love's path is never smooth and figuring out how to make it work with four people is even harder.

Heroine #1
The story is told from Janet's point of view. Most of the story focuses on her attraction to other women, and how it has affected her relationship with Toby. She talks about her breasts a bit much, but from the descriptions it sounds like she has reason to be proud. Janet does seem to truly love Toby and to be authentic in her attraction to the other couple.

Heroine #2
Maria is the anonymous admirer who starts the foursome rolling with a suggestive email. She has worked hard to get where she is and she's taking a real risk by initiating this relationship.

Hero #1
Toby is a handsome architect who is enthusiastically tolerant of his wife's bisexual tendencies. He's happy to participate in whatever shenanigans Janet plans. Toby seems like a good guy and more importantly a good husband.

Hero #2
Very little is said about Mike except for his physical attributes. He seems like a nice enough man who makes a mistake while drunk which jeopardizes their happy, extended relationship.

A Lusting Couple tells the story of Janet and Toby, a professional couple in their forties. Their children are in university and they are on their own for the first time in twenty years. They are approached by a Maria and Mike, a younger couple they know from their country club - people they admire but aren't particularly close to. Maria tells Janet that she knows she is bi and asks if she and Toby would be interested in a foursome.

Janet tells Maria that the only man she will ever have intercourse with is her husband. Maria tells Janet, "You and I could get up to whatever we like and never break that rule."

In fact, Janet and Toby had an affair with an older neighbor when they were in university. But they have been exclusive ever since. How does this woman know she is bi? And, is this the time in their lives when she and Toby can once again explore forbidden realms?

A Lusting Couple has more explicit sexual encounters packed into 62,000 words than any book I can think of. And every encounter is a delight. Janet G is, imho, one of the best writers in the menage genre. Her focus on couples loving couples and her exploration of the dynamics of a stable poly-amorous relationship is too spot-on not to be rooted in experience. A fabulous read.

Hello my lovelies. In reading this tantalizing book thus far, I must say I am completely hooked. There are a few reasons for this. First, knowing that I am reading a story based on what someone actually experienced and lived is beautiful and so special in itself. I can't help but think wow, Janet really did this. Second, I have read many many books, but never read a book where it involved attractive between two women. With that being said, reading Janet's book has opened my eyes to a whole new world which I cannot wait to dive into. Lastly, reading a story where a women has such confidence in her own skin is priceless. Some have touched upon certain terms being used to described body parts and how they felt it took them away from the story. I respect that. However, to me personally, it makes Janet's account even more realistic. This is a true account of an actual event and not a smutty read and whether you like the verbage or not the book is HOT!!! I am almost finished with the book and will chime back in to throw some questions out ther for you.

In the meantime, I pose a question to the lovely Janet G., Author of A Lusting Couple. Janet, I am intrigued and I think it would benefit many to know why share your personal story and why now?

What I thought was interesting about this story is that it was based upon the author's experience. It was a very sensual and sexy story.

The technical terms around the female anatomy in the story kinda pulled me out of the story. Not sure why but labia majora and mons pubis pulled me out of the story trying to recall what exactly that was as these aren't terms I use in my head when thinking about female anatomy. But then again, when I first started reading erotica I got pulled out of the story when I read cunt. Maybe it's because I'm not used to it.
