Just finished this book, and it is exactly what the title promises - with one word missing: engaging 😃
The book is divided into five sections:
1. Ancient Greek and Roman Myths 2. Myths from Africa 3. European Myths 4. Myths from Asia and Oceania 5. American Myths
It covers many myths and legends I had come across before, along with a few that completely surprised me. Several stories reminded me of myths I had previously encountered through books and movies.
Reading about Minerva and the three-headed dog immediately made me think of Harry Potter.
Whether through direct inspiration or shared mythology, it was fun spotting familiar elements.
More than anything, this was a nostalgic and enjoyable read. The facts are short, making it easy to dip in and out, and it was a lovely way to revisit old myths while discovering a few new ones. 🥰📚
