The First is finally dead, but Eevee's battle against the mythical monsters is far from over. Caleb has been arrested, hauled off to an all boys boarding school, leaving her unprotected against the Second of the Seven Wicked. When she meets Kim, one of Laranelle's supposed guardians, she panics and flees right into the arms of the enemy. Fortunately for her, the Seventh has taken a particular liking to Eevee and after a tenuous agreement between the two, she warns her that the other Wicked have formed a never before seen alliance. But even this and an unplanned trip to a dreamscape, a world between worlds, can't shake her faith in her golden prince and the power of her own, ancient magics.
C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind - especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.
She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels - romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.
Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.
If possible, better than the First. The Seventh comes into play this book as a character which I wasn't expecting AND there's a strong female friend. Do you know how rare that is in the YA world? Also, Caleb's friends are pretty awesome, too. Caleb ... well, we don't actually get to see too much of him in this book which kind of sucks, but at least we get to know Eevee better. This book does leave you with a cliff hangar, so be prepared to go for the next. More magic, more myth, more fun.
In book two of The Seven Wicked series, we see Eevee really start to come in to her own. She starts to realize the goddess within and the magic she was born with are very much a part of her. We get to meet a slew of new characters, but be careful, not everyone is who they appear to be! The wicked seven are out to get her and there is no where to hide. With Caleb (who is oh so yummy), Kim and even the seventh wicked (remember what I said about appearances?) all helping , she is managing to stay ahead of the game. But for how long? Read the next installment to find out!
“The Seven Wicked: Second” begins right where the first book ended and this book was just as good. The seven wicked’s are still after Eevee and Caleb’s parents are determined to keep him away from her. Who will protect Eevee when Caleb is not around? Eevee is at a lost and doesn’t know how she will make it without Caleb. David tries to help Eevee get to Caleb but the plan backfires when an unexpected surprise stands in the way. As Eevee life hangs in the balance she gains an unlikely ally. Can she really trust someone who was created to kill her? Her best friend Kim comes back into her life and seems to know a lot about what’s going on but what is her role in all of this? Eevee learns a secret about who Caleb really is and he plays a bigger role in this than she could have ever thought? When Eevee becomes Laranelle will she be able to get the life back she once had, even if she spent it fighting for her life? This book is full of twist and surprises and still has moments that will make you laugh. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
Though I liked this book. I was kind of disappointed in Eevee as a character. It seemed like towards the end of the first book she was becoming strong, not so much physically but emotionally and I like that but, it seemed like at the start of this book she was right back to being weak emotionally. However I still really like the plot and really liked the characters. Eevee and Caleb's love is that kind of love that I think everyone in their heart of hearts wants. Someone who would kill for you, die for your and want you with their very being. I still will defiantly be reading the series. I have to know how this all ends.
