Un manuale fondamentale per chi è passato dal fare "sitarelli" al fare applicazioni o siti molto strutturati.
Copre molti argomenti essenziali (pattern, sicurezza, testing, CI, ecc.).
Volendo trovargli qualche difetto, direi che un paio di capitoli sono trattati con un linguaggio un po' troppo accademico e astratto, e alcuni esempi sono un po' troppo legati a Symfony.

This a very good collection of articles about PHP advanced topics, from several of the most expert italian PHP developers. Being an excellent PHP developer, though, does not automatically mean you're good at explaining things.
So, while the effort of the GrUSP association is commendable, the result is far from perfect.
Especially the first two parts of the book are very difficult and/or boring, and you have to be very, very focused to get anything out of it.
The third part, though, makes up for it: a few topics of great importance are explained quite well and can really transform your career as PHP development.
This is what I suggest for the next edition of the book (if there is going to be one):
* reduce the number of topics
* reduce the number of authors, to make for a more coherent style
* or, have an editor with the task of reviewing and adapting all the chapters to a common tone and style
