Zoie Pendragon, assisted by her grand parents, the Elfin Guardian Shamus, the wish fairy who is now Kayena and her cousin Savannah finds herself in a battle to save the Elfins.
The evil Nenuphar wizard, Drayfus, has responded to the Outer World in search of Elfins. He thinks Elfin magic was used to replace the lion at Torgelson’s store. He suspects the Elfins are at the farm, Whispering Oaks. But every time he tries some trick, he is bested by Zoie and her family.
In a desperate measure, he has brought the “Banshee of Death” and a hundred shape-shifter soldiers from the Underworld for the express purpose of destroying all of the humans in the village so that he can find the entrance to the Elfin City.
The wizard tells his boss, Gunarius, that they can wipe out all the humans and blame it on a natural disaster such as a tornado.
