I'm new to photography, and this book was a great introduction to basic principles of photography. Topics such as aperture, shutter speed, and ISO were talked about in a clear and easily to understand method. So many other books I have glanced through gave more information than I could handle. This book really served as a great beginer's guide to these topics.

It also touched on the basics of lenses, composition and lighting in a very easy to understand way.

I'd highly recomend this book to anyone looking for the basics of photography. I only wish I had some of this knowledge before I had purchased my first camera.

Not too shabby for a little book. Especially love the lighting section and the quotes at the end from Ansel Adams and the old pilot. I have an MFA in Photography, and I still read everything I can get my hands on because you never know where you'll pick up the next tidbit that will take your work to the next level. Well done!

Youn's conversational tone cuts through the technical aspects of photography, making it all understandable. This book helped me move from the green auto zone on my DSLR into the more creative manual controls. My own photography skills have improved as a result.
