Great book of old tales and times of the game and of the players. Covers the famous and infamous, the rich and the poor, the jewels and the jokers and the joys and the heartbreaks of America’s pastime in a news article type of style. No recent history as it was written in 1991.

An interesting collection of stories and anecdotes from baseball history. This is more about persoanal stories than a history of baseball achevements. Recommnded highly for baseball fans.
