Cruiserweight wrestler Synn couldn't believe how lucky he was to be recruited by the number one wrestling promotion in North America. Especially when his hero from childhood -- the champion Renegade -- takes a special interest in him. In time, Synn learns he was only brought into the company because Renegade desired him. If he wants to succeed he has to submit to Renegade. If this wasn't bad enough Synn learns little by little that Renegade has a dark past when it comes to his former lovers. Synn walks a tightrope between pursuing his wrestling ambitions, and trying not to become Renegade's next victim.

Yamila Abraham founded the publishing company Yaoi Press in 2004 and published over 50 graphic novels, many she wrote herself.

Abraham is a prolific writer of male/male romance, yaoi, yaoi graphic novels, science fiction romance, and erotica. She's known for explicitly detailed love scenes and dynamic premises. She wrote two of Yaoi Press' best selling series: Winter Demon and Dark Prince. Her best known ebooks include Maelstrom, UnPrison, Alien's Bride, and the Vanquished series.

Wrestling meets soap opera. The story started off pretty mediocre but right at the end started to pick up with a good storyline and drama, leaving off on a total cliffhanger. Sadly Im looking and I don't see a volume 2.

I did not like it very much. It was kind of boring. There were some exciting parts that were entertaining to read, but mostly because those sections are shocking and unexpected. I didnt like it but it was funny to read. would not recommend

Synn is desperate to win in wrestling so when he is recruited by champion wrestler Renegade he thinks it will be such a great move for him as he feels he is an amateur compared to him. HIs hopes are pinned on this as he has been wanting to shine for so long and wonders how come he was spotted by Renegade in the first place. At first it's all rose tinted glasses and champagne with strawberries until a dear friend tells him about Renegade's dark past as a wrestler. He isn't one to cross and certainly not one to take lightly - not after he has supposed to have raped Stalker some time back. Synn, still thinking about his own future doesn't heed the warning that Renegade's seriously bad news and that in a way could end up being his own funeral, but will he see sense in the end?

As Sinn is about to embark on his career choice after leaving the airport, he settles into training with Renegade, and sure enough he feels fine about it all at first, but when he asks him how much he wants to be a real wrestler, Synn says foolishly that he is prepared to do absolutely anything - cue him asking him to let him sleep with him - just like his friend said he would.

Studio Kosaru's art is nicely simplified and the characters are fleshed out well in muscles and handsome looks, especially Synn and Renegade! While Yamila's writing skills still impress with wrestling terms and sharp wit.

It's a slugfest for the masses! Pinned is one of those love or hate yaoi mangas, and you will love to hate Renegade all the way through - excellent story and art that's certainly well worth the read.
