Animal behaviour treatment is a growing component in today's veterinary practice. This is an authoritative, scientifically-based reference on preventing, diagnosing and successfully treating behaviour cases. Every kind of problem, from aggressive behaviour to self-mutilation is discussed. It offers step-by-step guidelines, so practitioners can successfully manage behavioural problems from the first indication.

Very informative with fascinating research, although a lot of the material seems outdated at this point (in particular the "dominance" themes). This is a great reference, especially from the veterinary perspective. I wouldn't recommend it as a primary source of modern science in behavioral medicine.
This book is for veterinary students. I thought it was filled with great information, although a lot of it was too medical for me. The passages on behavior were excellent. or the person serious on understanding problem behavior in cats and dogs, a must read.
This book is written for Veterinarians and animal behaviorists. It is a great resource book to help animals with behavioral issues. Very good list of protocols. Extremely technical.
Detailed, thorough information with many client handouts, diagnostic and treatment guidelines etc. Index/contents is somewhat lacking in electronic version, may be better in print version
