This update of the 2005 directory contains some 7,000 alphabetical listings of a wide range of high-profile luminaries (786 new to this edition), from the alternative band 3 Doors Down to Eugenia Zuckerman, the classical flutist. In between, listings --the majority of living notables--include astronauts, business people, chefs, critics, government, media personalities, religious leaders, scientists, sports, and stars from other fields. Entries feature vital statistics, general descriptions, contact information, and official/relevant websites. Its eclectic coverage as well as the lack of photos distinguishes this reference from the typical celebrity homage. Librarians comprise the advisory board for this directory.
