The book, The Siamese Turtle was boring. I would rate it a 2 on a scale of 1-10. The book should have been more realistic, and longer. If it was longer than maybe the story would have been more detailed. I did not like the characters in the book. I do not know if Ricky and Tom are ten years old or teenagers. Tom and Ricky want to be a bunch of turtles. They went to the pet store and they bought eleven turtles. Then they went back home and dug a hole in the back yard. They filled a bucket with water and put the bucket in the hole and put rocks around it. The turtles colors disappeared and their shells started to come off. There were red stones in their shells. They were rubies! To find out what happens next you will have to read the story.
