This book covers the sea shore of the Atlantic, Mediterranean, North Sea, Irish Sea, and English Channel coasts of Britain and Europe.
It describes 1500 common species of plant and animal, excluding birds, that are found on the sea shore, from the highest spring tide to 5m below sea level.

This is an excellent companion to anyone interested in the vast selection of living things found along the coast.
