Craig Rainey (b. 1962) is an American film actor, author, screenwriter, and musician with deep Texas roots dating back to the original impresario settlers under Stephen F. Austin. Born in San Angelo, Texas, and currently residing in Austin, Rainey’s diverse life experiences—from serving as a military veteran to working as a professional cowboy in South Texas—have profoundly shaped his storytelling. In addition to being a seasoned sales trainer and motivational speaker, Rainey brings a rich blend of grit and authenticity to his writing.

Dark Motive: A Carson Brand Novel (Carson Brand Series Book 2) by Craig Rainey is an awesome story that I have loved reading. This is book number two and I can not wait to read the rest. I highly recommend this story to everyone.

With this sequel, Craig Rainey got me as a fan. I read Stolen Valor and I loved it but this one was more than wonderful. The author knows how to keep you on edge and his writing style is just awesome. I highly recommend you to get this book if you're a fan of thrillers!

Organized crime is a hard topic but the author nailed it. I should've read the first book before reading this one but I was captivated by the story and by the time I realized it was book #2 I almost read it. I will read the first one now. Great read!

Intriguing storyline with shifting
sub-stories. All in all good reading.
On to book 3.
