John Soane

This book which accompanies an exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London covers all of Soane's major commission's, illustrating over a hundred of Soane's own drawings including many specifically commissioned photographs of existing buildings. In addition to considering his architectural achievements, the essays examine his life and public role and discuss his inspiration for subsequent generations of architect, particularly in recent years. There will be additional European venues for the exhibition.
