I feel safe in saying that I am the biggest living Alan Marks fan. Given how hard it is to find the two books he wrote, that shouldn't be a big surprise. However, if you grew up with movies like "The Dirty Dozen" and "Kelly's Heroes", you should absolutely hunt these books down.
"Commando Attack!" (love the punctuation) is about a group of (you guessed it) commandos who have a mission to destroy a mine with a valuable metal the Nazi's need to destroy Allied tanks and to help with local underground resistance.
What follows is bravery, violence, sex, and Nazi's getting beat the fuck down. Given the current state of the world, this book was just the medicine I needed.
