This was a great book to read. I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. It was funny reading this book because I instantly related to Tara who was the type of girl who told her friends exactly how it was whether they liked it or not. It was like she identify immediately what some of her friends issues with their sons were; however none of her friends listened to her until the end of the book. Tara turned out to be the wisest one out of the group by the end of the book. Although Tara faced some of her own personal problems, she seemed to deal with them from within and taking her concerns to God. I would like to suggest that most women who are raising children read this books. I do not just want to generalize it for mothers who raise sons, but mothers who raise daughters and fathers who raise both son and daughters. Being a mother and father can be very challenging, especially when you do not have anything to base your parenting on. When you only have one child, how would you ever know that you are doing the necessary things to make sure your child succeed? Sometimes you do not know and have to do whatever it takes to make sure you raise a son and/or daughter who is able to take care of him or her self. Reading Sacred Sons can help you determine if you have been raising your child with the right values or if you have been catering to their every need.

I loved the book. I recently discovered this author and I must say, I've tried to put my hands on everything she wrote to read. Awesome write, but what's more amazing is her passion for Christ in her writing. God is Almighty. It's just breath taken how his will for different people lives touch the heart of so many other people. I'm a single parent of a 20 year old son. We have an awesome relationship ( thanks to God). I admired how each of the five ladies knew the power of prayer. Prayer changes things and when we PUSH and keep the Faith, God is never short of his word. Every mother should read this book. Remember to train up a child the way he should go, and he may stray, but trust me he will come back.
