Intended to supplement and complement a standard finite mathematics and calculus textbook, this work promotes the use of the graphing calculator as a discovery tool for understanding basic principles in the classroom. Contains 30 laboratory experiences which draw upon the visual and tactile senses, encouraging students to think, ask questions, look for patterns and experiment with hypotheses. Example problems are worked out in detail to walk readers through the often intimidating world of calculator menus and keystrokes. Requires no special equipment other than a standard graphing calculator.
