Assumes too much and too often. Phrases like “obviously,” or “it is clear” were littered throughout without providing explanations for those beliefs.
It was unclear, at least to me, if the intended audience was other scholars or laypeople. As a layperson though, those assumptions proved too much for me.
I was left out of the conversation; the very reason I came to this book was to learn but my learning was prevented.
