Terror on the Emigrant Trail. In the vast wilderness of the early West, a tribunal must decide the fate of one member of their party. Was it murder or self-defense? Will it be banishment or a hanging. Halfway along the two-thousand mile journey of the Oregon Trail, as the Townes Party approaches the South Pass, they realize the trail holds obstacles beyond the steep cliff faces, the treacherous river crossings, and the miles without water. Obstacles they could have never predicted. An outfit of rough men are journeying back east, carrying with them their prizes to sell to Easterners. When they encounter the Townes Party bound for Oregon's green valleys, they may have found another prize or two. If the Townes Party is going to make it to Bridger's Fort and beyond, they'll first have to survive An Incident at South Pass . If you love traditional Westerns steeped in history and full of action, then saddle up your best riding horse and pack your wagon light. This trail goes on forever. But be sure to bring plenty of powder and shot, because you never know what dangers you'll encounter on the way through the South Pass. Grab your copy today!
Wow, is this one good, and the best part is there is another one on the way. Story of an early wagon train on the Oregon Trail. Elias Townes is the defacto leader. They intend to make Oregon City before the snow flies. When Elias' brother, Zeke accidently kiils a man in self defense, the council calls for banishment. How much chance does a lone man have to get to Ft Bridger alive? While he experiences his life threatening events, Elias and the wagon train have problems of their own. Hopefully, the next book in the series gets released soon!
Follow the adventure s and problems of a wagon train heading West with an inexperienced captain as their leader. His decision s may be questionable and the results surprising. Plenty of action to keep the reader turning the page s. I look forward to book two coming out this summer.
Two adult brothers are separated by violence at the start of their journey westward. The younger, Zeke, must redeem himself in the eyes of the wagon train even as he learns of vicious bandits that threaten his family members traveling behind him on the deadly trail. Compelling western fiction sure to please fans of the genre.
Grab "Incident at South Pass" and settle in. You're going to want to spend some time with this story. Easterners, looking for a new life, cross uncharted territory full of Nature's hardships, attacks from Native Tribes and unscrupulous brigands. Great dialogue, relatable characters and enough suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat. A winner.
A great read, but like the previous 5 books by Mr. Peecher, I am very distracted, not just from the typo s, but wondering why such a talented writer can't afford a proofreader.
Another Peecher home run.Good story and great characters. I enjoyed the family dynamics and events while on the trail moved the story with many twists and turns
