Pathology for the Health Professions

Rate this book
This introductory text provides a solid foundation of knowledge for students in health professions. Divided into two sections, general pathology and systemic pathology, it focuses on the most common diseases, which are either frequently encountered or illustrate an important principle. Each chapter begins with a review of normal tissues and organs and follows with a discussion of the major diseases. New features in this third edition include additional Did You Know boxes, more full-color illustrations, and an expanded glossary.

I read this book for my Advanced Patho class. Twice. Because of this, I think it deserves to be added to my reading list. In all honesty, I found this to be a very concise and yet comprehensive text for a course this vast. The diagrams, charts, and slide images were also very helpful - I found that I could use the online resources to make them into flashcards (only 600!) which was very helpful for my final exam!
