Includes all crops that grow well in NM and then gives the planting dates (by elevation) varieties, potential issues and companion plants.

The illustrations are sort of sweet but i really wanted a true potager model but with a southwest twist. This was more "you can grow vegetables in the desert" versus how to grow an attractive cottage style kitchen garden. Might be good for a beginner and it at least acknowledges that my soil is hella alkaline and water is a serious concern which is doing better than 99% of gardening books out there. I might recommend for a new gardener, but not very helpful for my own purposes and the title is a little misleading as to what it actually is.
