A fun science book about things that float or sink with a quick history about floating vs sinking things (boats, ice, corks...). Broken into various chapters four different types of projects to try. Each section has information on the project and why the project works. Great for early elementary science projects.

This is a better book in the series of "Science for Fun" than the Making Shapes book is. The typical floating experiments (ice cubes, Cartesian diver, and salt water) are all here. There's nothing here that isn't found a gazillion other places. Nonetheless, this is okay. It's inviting enough.
