The Biblical Principles of Discipleship

Rate this book
The Biblical Principles of Discipleship is not to be confused with a book on how to make disciples. Instead, Coppedge examines the principles of disciplemaking, going before and beyond the how-to to the what- for. Why is God interested in disciplemaking? The author finds God's purpose detailed in both the Old and the New Testaments, namely to make a people for His own glory. Most books on discipling are concerned with implementation. They are aimed at motivating Christians to do something practical in response to the church's need. But receiving less attention are the biblical and theological principles underlying the disciplemaking process. In this book, the author examines God's purposes and the ways they are spelled out in His Word.

Very good read, Allan does a good job looking at scripture to share with us how Jesus wants us to make disciples.

"Jesus gives us a picture of holiness with a human face. He fully reveals God's character as well as the character that God plans for His people."
