Liam never expected his latest client to stir such a potent mix of emotions. As an ex-Navy SEAL turned bodyguard, he's devoted his life to protecting others. But protecting Hazel, a fiery woman hellbent on getting justice for her father's murder, proves to be his greatest challenge yet. Hazel witnessed her father's brutal killing, and now the murderer is after her to tie up loose ends. She doesn't want a bodyguard, especially not one as domineering as Liam, but with danger at every turn she has no choice. Hazel is determined to find the killer, no matter the cost, and Liam is the only one capable of keeping up with her reckless investigation.
Sparks fly as Hazel challenges Liam's authority at every step. But beneath their antagonism simmers an undeniable attraction. When the threats escalate and long-buried secrets come to light, Liam realizes the killer is closer than either of them could have imagined. To have any chance of saving Hazel, Liam must confront the sinister truth of his own past and decide what he's willing to sacrifice in the name of love and devotion.
Though devastated by loss, Hazel opens her battered heart to Liam's steadfast support. United by passion and purpose, the pair race to outmaneuver a relentless evil that threatens to destroy their hard-fought bond forever. The battle ahead will test the limits of their endurance, but through it all their devotion remains.
This is a Happy Ever After with some potentially triggering content that is brief but gun violence.

A decent read. A mystery and age play. This was also the perfect length in book. Any more and it would have dragged.
