Fascinating history of the left in the labor party and its opposition to the policies of the Atlee administration in the post world war II period. I have done research on the left in post world war II American labor and the dynamics in England are so different. It is fascinating how difficult it was for the labor left to advocate its policies with the growing antagonisms between the USSR and the western countries. I am interested in what happened to some of the characters later on. One of the players was Harold Wilson who became prime minister in the late 60s.
