About the author

Russell Punter was born in Bedfordshire, England. From an early age he enjoyed writing and illustrating his own stories. He trained as a graphic designer at art college in West Sussex before entering the world of publishing. He has written over one hundred books for children of all ages, ranging from original stories to adaptations of classic novels.

W książce znajduje się sześć krótkich historii poruszających istotne dla najmłodszych tematy. Dzięki tej pozycji dzieci dowiedzą się, czym jest odpowiedzialność, życzliwość, przyjaźń. Oprócz tego będą mogły porozmawiać na takie tematy jak podział obowiązków domowych czy naśmiewanie się z osób innych od nas samych.

Wydaje mi się, że magia świąt jest tutaj wyczuwalna dzięki wszystkim elfom, bałwankom, reniferkom i prezentom, które wyskakują z każdej strony tej pozycji. Dopełnieniem całości są również bajeczne ilustracje Philipa Webba, na które warto zwrócić uwagę.

Na zakończenie dodam, że dla mnie najdziwniejszą rzeczą w tej pozycji był fakt, że elfy miały polskie imiona ;)

This is a cute book with nice short stories that are great for December bedtimes. Short enough to almost keep a 2 year old interested the whole time, she will probably love it more next year.
