Zack is back! This special edition contains three short stories and a new forward by the author.
Michael P. Murphy has been a freelance writer since 1990, when his novel for Christian teens,Wise Up, Zack, was released by Standard Publishing. He later contributed short stories and articles for Straight, R-A-D-A-R, Live Wire, Encounter, The Lookout and Wander AZ, an Arizona-based travel magazine. In 2022 Michael independently published a novel for middle grade readers, Somebody Stole My Penny!
The first book he remembers buying was Miss Pickerell Goes to Mars while he was in the 4th grade. Then he discovered a passion for comic books, which led to a growing stack of Sad Sack titles. His collection of paperback books gradually grew, too, but it was reading Ace Book’s series of The Man From UNCLE novels that inspired him to want to write and be a storyteller himself.
Michael lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. He enjoys a casual morning bicycle ride, a baseball game, an occasional movie, a good book and a better cup of coffee. He still has all those Sad Sack comic books. Miss Pickerell, however, is lost somewhere in the garage.
