The tarot cards are often seen as a mirror of what you are experiencing in your life. When a card comes up in a reading, it encourages you to look inside yourself to look for areas where this may resonate.
Using Tarot for personal growth helps you to tap into your unconscious - the wise, intuitive part of you. Tarot provides the space you need to dig deep and reflect on what's happening in the present moment, rather than getting lost in the past or future.
Find Your Tarot will show you how to harness your inner power, help you see where your true potential lies and most importantly, it will show you that it is always possible to make a change and create a life you love. Use this book to articulate and uncover those hidden abilities by giving you a new perspective of yourself. It can also help you direct your energy towards your goals, or even to give them more clarity.
As an introduction to Tarot I think this was perfect. I especially liked the organisation of the book, which made it really easy to find the cards I was looking up the meaning for. As you get more into Tarot then you start realising the shortcomings of the book, where detail and nuance seem to be missing. From my perspective, the book does a great job at not being too "woo-woo", and as a reasonably secular reader of Tarot it felt just right.
An introductory level book to tarot that was enjoyable to read. I especially loved the book’s overall colour palette and design — “very millenial”, as my friend said. There were two editing errors I found:
Page 69 is a page on the King of Cups but the image is of The Magician.
Page 106 “Keyworads” for the page on the Nine of Pentacles.
This book is a really informative guide and easy opener for tarot. Great explanations and guidance for learning. It shares information about each of the 78 cards as well as offering support in learning different spreads and personal growth practices. Definitely recommend this to anyone interested in tarot. I personally wish there was more in depth details about the traditional meaning of each card as well as the details provided.
