Except for some interesting accounts of the Pakistan war with Bangladesh, it's a story of a self absorbed heavy drinker and womanizer. He is a good writer, but it's a shame he doesn't have anything better to write about than using women and getting blind drunk. I always find it of minor interest to read about a person who has absolutely no ability to manage money, and is willing to live in persistent self-caused poverty.
