Who is killing the scientists at the Krinsky labs? Bert Swain, former reporter for a now defunct NY paper and former contributor in Florida for one of those well known supermarket tabloids, has been hired as PR director for the labs and asked to see exactly what is going on.

One scientist has mysteriously disappeared, another ‘fell’ to his death – and meanwhile, a major fund raising campaign’s under way to enlarge the facility against the sometimes violent resistance of the neighborhood people.

With a love affair or two in New York, and his former wife and young daughter in Toronto, and what might be a murder or two already in New York, Swain is under pressure to uncover the truth behind the odd happenings at Krinsky.

As the suspects dwindle, Swain is unprepared for what happens to him as his investigation comes to a head – what happens? You will have to jump on this classic mystery to find out for yourself – and believe me, it’s well worth the chase!

3 1/2 stars: Quirky little murder mystery in the most unlikely of places - a hospital and cancer research center in Manhattan. The man who figures it all out, step by step, is a journalist who is hired as the media/PR guy for this center. Some of this story was really far-fetched. Some of it was pretty good writing, in a journalistic way. Not a great book; not a bad book.
