La Tortuga lives in a hole under a big acacia tree. She loves to dance and play her flute, but what happens when the village children want her to come out?
She's a pretty gracious old turtle, playing her flute still for the very kids who wanted to eat her. I tend not to gravitate to books where the children are obviously terrible, but, if you are doing a lesson on different cultures' folktales, this might be a good choice.
